Der Vorabtrack "Out Of The Woods" ist ein solcher, selbst "Shake It Off" will mir nicht mehr aus dem Ohr gehen, obwohl mich die Single gleichzeitig immer noch nervt. Ein weiteres Highlight ist "Blank Space", das ziemlich sicher eine Single wird. Besonders gelungen ist auch das ohrwurmige "All You Had To Do Was Stay" und die lanaeske Nummer "Wildest Dreams". Fazit: "1989" hätte das Potential gehabt, ein wirklich gutes Popalbum zu werden, wenn es nicht wieder zu viele Filler gäbe. Zudem fällt es mir nach wie vor schwer, Taylor als Person oder ihre musikalische Identität in dem Album wirklich wahrzunehmen. Leider ist auch ihr Gesang in dieser Hinsicht nicht hilfreich, denn der ist zwar freilich solide, aber besitzt wenig Wiedererkennungswert.

Nachdem die Country-Princess jedoch bereits mit ihrem letzten Album "Red" vermehrt auf reine Pop-Elemente setzte, war spätestens bei der Lead-Single "Shake It Off" klar dass sie für "1989" nun endgültig auf der Pop-Schiene fahren würde. Für mich anfangs ein grosser Verlust, denn gerade wegen dem Country-Touch war Taylor für mich spannend, und ich befürchtete dass sie nun eine von vielen Pop-Sängerinnen werden würden... Für das Review liess ich mir überraschend lange Zeit. Klar hielt auch ich das Album bereits am Release-Tag in den Händen, habe es also nun schon seit einer Woche immer und immer wieder angehört. Während es vor allem beim ersten Durchgang noch austauschbar klang, gab es relativ schnell eine überraschend starke Meinungsänderung. Erstens lernte ich "Shake It Off" zu schätzen, dann kriegte ich "Out Of The Woods", "I Know Places" und "Bad Blood" nicht mehr aus dem Kopf und schliesslich nahm ich ihr den Stil-Wechsel nicht mehr so übel wie noch vor Kurzem. Alles in allem ist "1989" wie erwartet popig ausgefallen und gerade Country-Liebhaber werden enttäuscht werden. Trotzdem bietet uns Taylor hier ein gutes, wenn auch kurzweiliges Pop-Album. Dass es in den US die Chance hat, in die Geschichte einzugehen als das Album einer Sängerin mit den meisten Verkäufe in der ersten Woche finde ich aber als absolut übertrieben und unverdient. Highlight: "I Know Places"

Wahrheitpur	*** Schade, dass sich Taylor Swift vom Country-Stil wegbewegt. Das vorliegende Werk ist leider ein reine Popalbum à la Britney Spears. Trotz Stilwechsel einige gute Songs und einige die etwas abfallen. Mann muss das Album wie bei vielen Popalben mehrfach hören, damit die Melodien eingängiger werden. Der alte Stil von Taylor überzeugt mehr, das vorliegende Werk ist gutes Mittelmass. Bedenklich, dass es das Best-selling-first-week-Album sein soll. Da gibt es wesentlich Besseres.

Anzumerken, um einiges besser als ich es nach dem zu Anfang schrecklichen Shake It Off erwartet hätte! Schöne Melodien, starke Produktion, tolle Lyrics (... naja bis auf eben Shake It Off). Die Deluxe Tracks sind hier aber ein paar der eindeutigen Highlights! New Romantics ist eine wunderschöne 80s Hymne, Wonderland ein Dubstep Song der ein wenig an IKYWT von Red erinnert, und das zauberhafte You Are In Love. Auf der Standard Edition sind mit Out Of The Woods, All You Had To Do Was Stay, I Know Places, Blank Space einige weitere Highlights vertreten. Im großen und ganzen ein mehr als gelungenes "erstes Pop Album" das jedoch in keiner Weise an das geniale Speak Now heranreicht. Laatst gewijzigd: 15/11/2014 18:16

Taylor vermag mit fast allem sehr zu überzeugen! Ihren Erfolg damit hat sie komplett verdient! Ich die Era sehr und bin unglaublich zufrieden was sie für Singles gewählt hat! Hijinx	**** Honestly I've never been able to like Taylor Swift a whole lot. I'm not exactly sure why that was, but it might just be the tunes. So often she'd take off with tunes that hit me in the most flat way possible. I couldn't hate her, but nothing ever justified the hype (well, I get that her down-to-earth likeability is part of that, but it doesn't go far for the music). To add to that, I never really relished the idea of listening to any of her mega-selling albums, which felt more like a potential chore than anything, just as someone who's not really into that sort of thing. This isn't particularly fair to her though, as I think some of her finest tracks are among the deep cuts, but it's just all the stuff around it that's the problem. Understanding "1989" to be something different for her, I still didn't see myself changing my views (I don't really have an issue with country Taylor vs. pop Taylor, I'm just after the good tunes. Whether or not it's legitimate or not, I never find myself feeling as though she's lying to everyone when she makes more upbeat tunes, it just feels like another extension of her personality to me). But something does seem to be different this time. It's not that she's written a whole bunch of pop songs, it's that she's written a whole bunch of GOOD pop songs. I mean, I detract Shellback at every given opportunity, but the guy can write a hit. I guess it's a matter of whether he's working with someone who can bring their own flavour to the table, as opposed to him sucking it out of them. It seems to be a team up that can work, but then it's not 100% reliable. I mean, I don't really enjoy the singles from "Red" that they made, and I don't think that suddenly everything's perfect here, because it's not. "Bad Blood" is a misfire, but otherwise, it's much more in the way of hits, with the first half of the album having few complaints from me. Enough so that I can say I've bought a Taylor Swift album, your move Katy & Rihanna. 4.2
JimJim1	****** This is an absolutely stellar effort from the evergreen Taylor Swift, it's quite possibly the best album of 2014. When the album flies, it soars. 'Style', 'Blank Space', 'Out Of The Woods', 'Shake It Off' and 'Wonderland' are all pop gems with huge hit potential. The melancholy 'Wildest Dreams' sees Taylor doing a better Lana Del Rey than Lana Del Rey herself. In further imitation mode, 'Bad Blood' is bratty and bitter, it seems to have been ripped straight from Avril Lavigne's 2007 hit album 'The Best Damn Thing'. Taylor crafts a beautiful track in 'Clean' with some hefty-handed help from Imogen Heap. The former bringing her pop sensibility, the latter her poignant lyrics and quirky instrumental. The deluxe offers tracks worth paying extra for, with 'Wonderland' (a.k.a. 'I Knew You Were Trouble' Pt II) and the big chorus sing-a-long moment of 'New Romantics'. The album rarely dips in quality, but even when it does it's still listenable. Opener 'Welcome to New York' hopefully doesn't put off too many listeners from continuing with the album, whilst 'I Know Places' has one of those vocal patterns that people will distinctly love or find unbearable. Timor	*** Mittelpreachtiges ueberhyptes Teenie-Pop-Album. Gnadenlos ueberschaetzt, einzig die guten Texte sind hier leicht ueber dem Durchschnitt. Eine Kuenstlerin, die nicht in der Lage ist, ihre eigenen Songs in vernuenftiger Qualitaet live zu singen, kann von mir nicht mehr als 3* bekommen. Allerdings dann doch das erste Taylor-Album, auf dem mir zumindest einzelne Songs gefallen. Vorher hat sich mir das Theater um sie gar nicht erschlossen. Vielleicht ja doch Luft nach oben?

Icebreaker28	****** Seit 2006 hab ich alle Alben von Taylor und meiner Meinung nach wird sie immer besser (auch wenn man die Anfänge nicht mit der heutigen Musik vergleichen kann), dieses Album gefällt mir als Gesamtpaket bisher am Besten: Ich kann jedes Lied fühlen und alle sind auf ihre Weise Hammer! Die Deluxe Edition lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach extrem auch wenn ich die 3 Acoustic/Vocals Mitschnitte nicht bräuchte aber die 3 Extra Lieder sind ja mal sowas von geil!! (und die Fotos sind auch ein nettes Extra :D) Edit: Ich hab die Bewertung jetzt mal gelöscht, weil es nicht bringt hinter jedem Song 6 Sterne zu schreiben. Also zusammenfassend: Das Album ist eines der Besten die ich mir zugelegt habe! Ich kann es gar nicht erwarten am 20.06. zu ihrem Konzert nach Köln zu fahren! ^^ Laatst gewijzigd: 10/03/2015 12:27

alleyt1989	***** Is it weird that I like country Taylor more than pop Taylor? I'm probably the only one (besides the country community) but I feel more of a connection to her country stuff. Nonetheless, this is a solid transition to proper pop, with really good production and vocal, and the songwriting component hasn't gone downhill for the most part. I liked pretty much everything on here except for Bad Blood which sounds awfully juvenile, but there are a lot of bright possibilities on here, and I feel like the album will only grow on me as more singles are released over the coming year. She has branched out, and done it exceptionally well. Good stuff. 4.6/6.
remember	**** Erst gab es Britney, dann Miley Cyrus und jetzt eben Taylor Swift. Ich finde, sie verkauft sich gut und gefällt mir mit diesem Stilwechsel auch weit besser als ihre Grammy belohnten Alben. In den USA ihr 4. #1 Album, in GB ihr 2, en-suite.
Reto	****** Nun, bisher hat mich Taylor nicht unbedingt überzeugen können - das hat sich mit diesem Album geändert. rhayader	** Die Art Musik ist einfach überhaupt nichts für mich. Ich kenne ihre früheren Alben nicht, die ja mehr Richtung Countrypop gehen sollen (hab ich zumindest gelesen). Aber wenn ihre Stimme da auch so unterdurchschnittlich klingt, frage ich mich doch, warum so jemand etliche Awards abräumt. Für mich ist zumindest dieses Album konturlose Plastic-Kommerz-Musik, mehr nicht.

Ich kann hier beim besten Willen nix Revolutionäres erkennen; ganz ehrlich: So was ist mir höchstens drei Sterne wert, die ich hier auch vergebe.
TheMusicCat	*** I dare say this isn't a bad album. But the way that every track from it, (minus, say, How You Get The Girl) has been ridiculously overplayed, made this album totally unlistenable. And do not even get me started on the blatant Lana Del Rey ripoff that is Wildest Dreams. Its a decent pop album, designed to top the charts, but for now I cannot stand it. I do not hold very high hopes for her next album either.
Living-on_my-Own2011	*** Spätestens mit 1989,wurde Taylor Swift auch ausserhalb der USA,vermutlich jedem ein Begriff.Ich stehe nach wie vor zu meiner Meinung,dass sowohl dieses Album,als auch die Person dahinter(ähnlich wie Beyonce) grenzenlos überhyped sind.Den Millionenschweren Erfolg,den 1989 hatte ist einzig und allein darauf zu beschränken,dass die Künstlerin sowohl an Radiostationen,als auch in der Öffentlichkeit (noch) extrem viel Zulauf hat.An den Songs,kann es meiner Meinung nach nicht gelegen haben. 1989 ist ein passables,durchschnittliches Album geworden.Etwa die Hälfte der Songs,sind kleine Ohrwürmer und wirklich gelungen,dass waren für mich: Shake it off-Blank Space-Style-Wildest Dreams-Out Of The Woods-New Romantics-Bad Blood-Welcome To New York-I Know Places Wie man sieht:Fast alles Singles,mit Ausnahme von 2! anderen Songs. Der Rest hingegen:Langweilig,nichtssagend,ausdrucksarm,öde,nicht der Rede wert,immerhin nerven sie nicht,sind halt aber die klassischen Albumfüller. Fazit:3 Sterne sind locker drinnen,gerade im Vergleich zu aktueller Chartsmucke aus 2017.Doch mehr ist einfach nicht drin.Klar sind die oben genannten Songs,sehr schön anzuhören und wirklich kleine,feine Ohrwürmer.Jedoch gibt es auf 1989 nichts herausragendes,oder gar spannendes zu entdecken,dafür ist die gesamte Platte viel zu glatt gebügelt.Andere Pop-Konkurrentinnen z.b die Spears,Katy Perry,Kesha die u.a von den gleichen Produzenten,aus 1989 ihre Tracks produzieren haben lassen,haben dies einfach besser und eindrucksvoller hinbekommen. josh4u92	****** Each Taylor Swift album in has gotten better and better in my opinion. With each album she grows as a songwriter and as an artist. She tries out different genres and different sounds as she goes along. This album is undeniably her most pop sounding record, but at the same time is not just simple bland pop. She once again brilliantly uses storytelling through the songs and throws all her emotions and feelings into the songs. Her and super producer Max Martin (P!nk, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson) go together extremely well on this album and the result is an all round great sounding album. aloysius	***** Ein wirklich hervorragendes Album. Bin eher zufällig darauf gestossen und kannte bisher nur sehr wenig von Taylor Swift. Habe aufgrund dieses Albums mittlerweile auch noch "Red" und "Fearless" gekauft. "1989" bleibt aber bisher das mit Abstand beste Album von Taylor Swift. Sehr gelungen, sehr abwechslungsreich und wirklich kein einziger Song, der auch nur ein wenig abfällt. Habe daher auch keinen klaren Favoriten, sondern höre gerne das ganze Album rauf und runter. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein wunderbares Pop Album, indem Taylor Swift sehr viel Indie-Pop Einfluss hat und das für eine große Masse erreichbar machte, was mir sehr daran gefällt. Anfangs war ich ja eher kritisch ob ihr dieser Wandel vom Country-Girl zur Pop-Princess gelingen würde. Und es hat sehr gut geklappt! Das beste Taylor Swift Album für mich. Ein Meilenstein der 2010er wie ich finde! Das wird schwer zu übertreffen sein liebe Taylor, aber da du noch jung bist und einige Jahre Karriere vor dir hast, bleibe ich mal gespannt ob da doch noch was geht! BeansterBarnes	**** Much hype was surrounding the new sounding Taylor Swift and fortunately she delivers for the most part. I feel the album is slightly over in length with a little bit too much filler for my liking but in saying that there really is nothing I despise with the exception of the 'Bad Blood' remix but that's an add on so it's not reflected in this score :p The highlight for me is the massively popular 'Blank Space' which will be hard to top for Taylor, for years I always loved 'Love Story' & 'You Belong With Me' but in all honesty this song alone has taken her to the next level. Kaahu Leef	****** Out of all the record that I've been listening and reacting to Taylor Swift, this album stands out the most. I felt happy that she went pop music more than I usually love in her country. The production is possibly the highest point in here with a background of soncially and airy sounds and she has a innovative voice here too. I love "Welcome To New York" the opening track and "This Love", where as "How You Get The Girl" was my least and majority one of the weirdest track for a light dance pop tone. southpaw	**** Hat seine Schwächen im Mittelteil, ansonsten sehr lieb.
otterobb	***** Mir selber hatte Taylor Swift vorher mit Country-Pop besser gefallen. Für ein Pop-Album mit der Zielgruppe Mädchen und junge Frauen zwischen 12 und 25 war "1989" jedoch ziemlich perfekt gemacht. Viele Lieder des Albums sind sehr eingängig. Für Taylor Swift war das Album eine wichtige Station auf dem Weg nach ganz oben. Der Erfolg des Albums war verdient.
